Tangy Mango Mint Apple Sauce – Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 Big bunch of fresh mint leaves (200 Gms Approx).
  • 2 skinned and finely chopped raw mangoes.
  • 2 medium sized red onions.
  • 2 tablespoons dried whole pomegranate seeds.
  • 2 ‘Red June’ Apples (or any tangy apples that you can find).
  • 1 teaspoon salt.
  • 1 teaspoon Asafoetida.
  • 2 Green chillies with approx 30000-50000 scoville heat unit.

Directions:

  • Grind all together in a food processor.
  • Do not add water.
  • Don’t over grind so that texture remain grainy.
  • Once paste is made, cool this up for about 10 minutes in freezer (this actually helps the natural fruit water to submerge equally inside the ingredients).

Done!

Recommendations:
This tastes well with tropical fruits such as Banana, Indian Jujube, Orange, Papaya, Pineapple, Watermelon etc. It also goes pretty well with temperate fruits such as Apple and Tomato.

Also try it with Indian food for great fusion!
