Cream of Yesterdays!
I am Swati, a former hotelier and now a fortuitous homemaker. I was born and raised in a hilly town of Shimla, however destiny has brought me to hang up my hat in Mumbai. The rationale behind starting ‘Creams of Yesterdays’ is to put a cease to my perpetual monotonous humdrum and sally forth composing my experiences. Experiences from my past, present and hereafter! Experiences about what I have learnt from my mother, from grandmother et alia. It doesn’t ends up there, I also would be sharing my travel memoirs, experiences pertaining to food as well as comestibles (my second better half) and lastly (not the least), my two cents’ worth.
I always loved to travel! My first excursion transpired while I was in my high school, we went jaunting with my compeer, it was a historical nonetheless and I fell in love with roving. It is funny that I met my better half in the same trip, fast forwarding many years, now we both get to travel and explore this unexplored ‘Wander-Land’ of gastronomy and vacationing. Traveling didn’t just expanded my aspiration to explore further, it also brought me vis-à-vis with food. One of my first memorable experiences was devouring on a McDonald’s burger, which didn’t just stimulated my gustatory cells, but immediately made me realized that my palate has no boundaries, there was so much to discover, the goods and the bads.
I am a woman with aspirations! Aspirations to see, eat and get a whiff of the uncharted. Like most of you, I too have a bucket list, however I have been serendipitous with few of them, that you will learn in ‘Cream of Yesterdays’. I hope you can relate with my stories, revel in as you read through my blog and take something out of it.
